Registration & Fees

Many of our sessions fill early, so please contact our office regarding current space availability.

Registration – $500 due

February 1 – 1/2 tuition due

April 1 – full tuition due

To complete your child’s registration, please mail your camper’s application and $500 deposit check to Gwynn Valley Camp. We cannot enroll your child until we receive both the application and deposit. Your deposit / registration fee is applied to tuition and all but the processing fee ($100) is refundable any time before February 1st.The returned check processing fee is $25.  Activities are planned for those campers staying over from one session to another, the cost of which is $125 per day.

Campers must be covered under a health insurance policy provided by their family. Medical bills incurred while at camp will be forwarded to the family by the camp health care provider

Wait List Policies

Please note that many of our sessions in Main Camp as well as the Mountainside and Riverside programs fill very quickly so early registration is recommended. Priority will be given to returning campers until Oct. 1. If we receive your application after a session has filled, you may enroll in another session and be placed on the wait list for the session of your choice. You may change session if a space becomes available. To be added to the wait list, we must receive a completed camper application along with a $500 deposit check. The deposit is fully refundable at anytime when on the wait list.

Cancellation Policy

Your deposit / registration fee is applied to tuition and all but the processing fee ($100) is refundable any time before February 1st providing we receive notification in writing.  No refund will be made for cancellations after Feb. 1.  No refund or discount will be made for late entrance or early withdrawal, except when caused by serious illness; in this case, the loss will be shared equally by the parent and the camp.

Gwynn Valley reserves the right to dismiss any camper who violates the camp rules or whose conduct is determined by Gwynn Valley to be detrimental to self, other campers, or the general welfare of the camp.  No refund will be made in case of dismissal.

Travel and Lodging Suggestions

Flight arrivals and departures should be scheduled between 10:00am and 1:00pm to and from the Asheville Airport (AVL).
If unable to schedule a flight during this time, please contact our office before booking the flight. Campers will be greeted by Gwynn Valley Staff upon arrival. Be sure to make travel plans early! Please see the Parent Handbook (449 KB PDF) for more details.

Lodging in and around Brevard is tight during the summer due to the fact that there are many other camps located in the area, plus Brevard is a summer resort. See Places to Stay (79.9 KB PDF) for lodging suggestions and make your reservations early.
